About the marathon
Dear participants!
We are pleased to inform you that on August 9-10, 2024, the IV International Marathon “Clean Baikal” will take place on the shores of the sacred Lake Baikal.
This is the only running event that takes place among the most picturesque landscapes of the coast of the Barguzin Bay of Lake Baikal.
You will enjoy the taiga spirit, the aromas of the wild forest, absorb the Energy of Baikal and experience incredible emotions!
On the Marathon route, pleasant surprises await you, representing the multifaceted culture and flavor of the Republic of Buryatia!
As part of the Marathon on 08/09/2024 at the Kolos boarding house. Maksimikha st. Baikalskaya 75, a round table will be held on the topic “About Baikal for Cleanliness,” which will be attended by environmental activists, organizers of environmental movements and eco-business, representatives of relevant executive authorities and the scientific community.
The main goal of the round table is to attract the attention of local, regional, federal and international communities to the problems of Lake Baikal.
Based on the results of the round table, an environmental action will be organized to clean up the territory of the village. Maksimikha and the coastline.

The route’s certificate was received in 2022, which gives the right to participants of the “Clean Baikal” marathon to submit applications and perform sports categories, receive sports titles, and also set official records, including Russian records.
